On Saturday, May 12th of 2018, ETTC hosted their first tournament. This would not have been possible without the help of many people. Chad Bollman, the president of the club, with the help of his team-mates and club members are to be congratulated  for the tournament resulting as quite a successful first event. 

First, I would like to thank all of the competitors who signed up to play. It was great to see the different levels of competition and to have a full tournament of 36 players. Your kind words were very appreciated by myself and the members of our club! Second, all the members of our club should know that they played a roll in the success of our tournament. A special thank you to Jeff Shannon, Dave Rademacher, Steve McClard, and Nathaniel Bell for helping set up. I know if others would have been available, they wouldn’t have hesitated to help as well. Thank you to Jennifer Regna Rademacher for purchasing the fruits and bottled water! Thank you to April Bollman, Roger Mansholt and Pj Engel for helping clean up! Thank you to Kathi Shannon for a monetary donation to help with the payouts for the winning competitors! Thank you to my mother-in-law Donna Masters for providing the cookies.

Thank you to Father McGivney Catholic High School Principal Joe Lombardi for allowing our club to use the gymnasium for our tournament! Everybody who played had great things to say about the facilities. The school staff was extremely friendly and we thank them for their help also.

All Natural Pet Center of Edwardsville, Drew Gray Multimedia Productions, and Big Frog of Edwardsville were very instrumental in our tournament’s success. A huge thank you to Ryan Driskill for the tremendous amount of work not only before the tournament but during his run to winning the Class A championship. Ryan and Steve McClard spent a majority of their down time entering match results and calling out the next matches which helps the tournament run smoothly.
